Boktai 2...I love that game, except the part when I didn't at all level up before that plant boss.let's see how hard it was sense i couldn't backtrack and train. Boss kill me in 3 hits and all my hits only did 1 damage...1.ONE!!!. Still fun, and when i tried easy cuz i live in a desert.heh heh heh. welcome to the desert vampires.

We had a lot of discussions already on this..
RPG (as in role-playing-game) could be used in any game, because you're actually playing a role of some character..However, RPG as gaming genre, has some criteria that needs to be followed/fulfilled..
Main point is the system of leveling-up and building your character (statistics etc.)

Zelda, that actually has some similarities and elements of RPG, isn't actually an RPG game for the lack of that leveling-up system..Yes, you do find hearts, and you get upgraded weapons, but you don't build your character while battling (ie. simulating real life) so that leaves us with Action (you fight monsters, button mashing) Adventure (solving puzzles, using your head)..

Definitely GS1 and 2. Best RPGs I've ever played.

IMO KH: Chain of Memories is one of the best., - it was just a nice example of extremely right adaption of the KH universe to the GBA.

Anyway, GBA has a variety of RPG's, but this console was designed directly for short-time session portable gaming, so I don't know for everyone, - but majority of all plot-oriented RPG's(especially JPRG's), could be experienced right way - only at home environment, and this is the main issue with the genre on any handheld, I guess/

My favorite RPG would have to be Mother 3. Yes I know you already played it, just wanted to say it. Maybe you should try Pokemon Liquid Crystal. It's the most complete Johto hack to date. Oh and Boktai 1. Really enjoyed it.

another pretty good game was kingdom hearts I loved that game, it graphics and everything.

also all the Pokemon games they were my favorites, there were more i don't remember right now.

I am playing the Phantasy Star collection because I have never played them before. They are old school but so far they have suprised me. I am enjoying #2 the least.
But 3 games on 1 Cartridge is nice. And the graphics are half bad either.

I want a new Shining in the Darkness. I don't care what system they put it on.

I liked Golden Sun and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. Great times and I recommend to those who still play with the GBA to try out these games.

Golden Sun 1 and 2 are definitely one of the best if not the best RPGs on the GBA. Try the Pokémon games also if you are into that kinda stuff.

This thread is full of win. Found Yggdra Union and Phantasy Star collection (though I wish the first one worked on my Supercard!!!

) and found more and more love for my GBA.

Mother 3 is probably my favorite RPG btw, with Golden Sun being a close second.
