After the fun of Mother 3, I am in the mood for more GBA RPGs...

Does anyone have any recommendations?

My favourite is Zelda: Minish Cap and Magical Vacation (for the graphics)... But beyond that, I am not sure of any other really good ones -- one that are really worth spending days/weeks on...

@taken...

Nice mug... I see some family resemblance between us...

Nice list, I enjoy every one of these games!

And also, Zelda isn't RPG....Zelda is an Action Adventure..

Role-Play-Game seems a somewhat appropriate term for assuming the guise of an elfin boy on a fantasy quest... (running around dungeons and talking to wizards/kings/fantasy creatures etc)...

But yes, I see your point, there is sword play involved...

and thus, Role-Play-Game is obviously an unsuitable term...

We had a lot of discussions already on this..
RPG (as in role-playing-game) could be used in any game, because you're actually playing a role of some character..However, RPG as gaming genre, has some criteria that needs to be followed/fulfilled..
Main point is the system of leveling-up and building your character (statistics etc.)

Zelda, that actually has some similarities and elements of RPG, isn't actually an RPG game for the lack of that leveling-up system..Yes, you do find hearts, and you get upgraded weapons, but you don't build your character while battling (ie. simulating real life) so that leaves us with Action (you fight monsters, button mashing) Adventure (solving puzzles, using your head)..

Then Tomb Raider can also be called Action Adventure...?

Rigid cookie-cutter categories are often only useful for fomulaic cookie-cutter games...

I would defiantly go with Mario and Luigi: Super Star Sega. Easily my favorite GBA game, has a fun plot and good music.

kinda, it was the only game that i could look at myself and say i must train, i must succeed, i must grind to level 99 and fight the final boss, i must do everything in this game, like completed that crazy dungeon
