If your just looking for something simple, then go for the Acekard, very good card. Though if you're looking for something more advance, the Supercard DSTWO is the way to go, it can emulate the GBA and other things, though at the cost of battery life.

For compatibility to newer games and compatibility to the latest dsi/3ds firmware updates that block the flashcart, I'd suggest the acekard 2i. It has official akAIO (acekard All In One) support, which is an unofficial firmware that boosts compatibility, so you can play the latest games (updates around once a month, so check it frequently).

Note that 3ds firmwares block flashcarts from use. In order to counter that, you'll have to update your acekard 2i's bootrom to a newer one that will allow it to be recognized as a legit game. Updating is simple, but requires that the ak2i be working on a system (meaning that if it's blocked on a dsi/3ds, you won't be able to update). Since ds phat/lite can't block flashcarts, the safest way is to update on a phat/lite. If you don't have one, borrow one or get access to it, somehow. acekard's official website has everything you need from the latest akaio firmware to the latest bootrom updater.

+1 for the DSTWO. I use it (have been since 3DS fw 1.0.0U) and no problems. Just don't leave it in the 3DS while it is on if you're not using the card, the extra processor still drains a TON of power even if the card isn't running or utilizing the processor. It cuts my battery from roughly 2 days, mostly sleep, to about 2/3 a day, mostly sleep.

Basically i'm just looking to play my ds games (cuz i dont have cash for 3ds games right now  )
i heard alot of stuff about acekard, so i might go with that.
thanks for your suggestions, guys

About to buy a flashcart for my 3ds so i can play my ds/i games and i wanna know what one is the best.

thanks in advance
I doubt you have any choice than the cyclods iEvolution. it's the only one able to play DSi games for now.

I don't think that's what he meant..
CycloDS can play DSiware games?

Is DSTTi any good?
It's pretty cheap.. Does it work with the 3DS?
(I already have an Acekard, was just wondering about getting one for my brother.)
for ds it is ok. but just ok.
but it doesnt work with the 3ds

He's using an original DS. Should I get the $3 DSTT for him?

dstwo hands down, i love it ,and i have no problem with the gba emulation, it also has a snes emulator which i think works great ,but i never used the other snes emulators for the ds, people say there is not too much difference though

dstwo also has a mame emulator which is not that great at alot of things but does work on great games ,it works great for konami games, i love playing the simpsons and tmnt 4 player konami on it
funny namco games dont work usually ,i have had trouble anyway, also capcom ghouls and ghosts dont run so hot on it

i like using mine with imenu ,also it has a movie player

what are you talking about?
you mean try to run the gba emulator on an acekard?
it cant be done, first of all the dstwo has its own extra processor that it uses for its gba emulator and the videoplayer and its mame emulator and the snes emulator
and those emulators and the video player are "plugins" and the dont have an .nds file extension like other ds homebrew, they have a .plg extension

DSiWare is not currently playable with any flash cart, DSi-enhanced games will only run in DS-mode on a DS/Lite, DSi-only games will not run at all on a DS/Lite.

If you want GBA games on a DS/Lite, get a slot-2 (GBA-slot) cart as well.

What exactly is a "DSi only" game?
