Today I found THREE Wii Us all under 5.5, on 5.4 or below. One was on a VERY old firmware. I can buy one of them from the guy, the problem is, is it worth it to me to spend the money just to make better homebrew, since nobody else seems to be making anything other than Loadiine for 5.4 and below, or do I sit and wait and wait for a 5.5 exploit to be released, or do I spend more time finding my exploit? At this point, I don't know which to do, since I don't give two shits about playing backups, is it really worth it to buy one of these old Wii Us? At that point, I'd probably just make homebrew for myself after having to invest ...
You could buy one with lower FW, to test stuff on and keep the updated one to play games online or something.

You'd get my support on making mods for sploot, smash and mk8. Seriously, why do people never mention these, its allways piracy or homebrew/mostly just emulators. We can play all this stuff on our phone, our raspi, our pc and soon probably on toasters, calculators and fridges. What is peoples obsession with emulators, even more allways for the same systems? Bring me my Sm4sh- or my ProjectM port, not to mention custom-maps for sploot xD i seriously would contribute where i can, just dont feel like doing it alome

Yes, modding games is awesome, and it's something I have extensive experience in doing. It's disheartening to see that nothing other than Loadiine has really been done. I know there is the Gecko stuff, which is cool to hack games too. But really, not too much has been done. I wouldn't mind making an emulator, just for the simple fact that in my basement on the projector, I have the Wii U, Xbox One, Sony Blu-Ray Player, and a Roku. The only place I can play any emulators, is in my living room on the 50" TV. That's cool and all, but it would be really cool to play an emulator on the 110" projector from time to time, and the Wii U is the only one that has potential for that right now. I could also work on making a PLEX port, or some other media app for the Wii U too. The Wii U isn't the most powerful thing, but it sure is a lot more powerful than either my Roku or Sony Blu-Ray player, as far as the CPU inside them. The Blu-Ray Player is really only good at playing Blu-Rays, the apps for it suck. But anyway, I will have to seriously consider what I want to do at this point. I just spent $1000 fixing my car today, it would be nice if I knew for sure I would eventually be able to make worthwhile homebrew on my 5.5 Wii U, but I put my faith in that train the last time, and look what it got me ...

hi guys ! my 5.4 console just arrived and I'm preparing everything for it. My question goes if I should spoof it or not specially because of the MMaker, also if I spoof it which app i have to use for downloading the updates? Or should I wait more time in case new FW is released tomorrow

Thanks !!!

all i see you doing is writing the article in order to brag to a bunch of teenagers about your possesions ...unless you have something decent to contribute to the community keep your possessions to yourself

I have contributed some homebrew, although I can't make it as good as I want, hence the reason why I am debating on getting an older Wii U with a kernel exploit. Sorry if you've missed my threads with my releases, but they are probably buried deep on the board from all the threads asking how to play their backups or trolling about exploits ...

Whats that twitter that tells you about the update after it happens? I'm just glad I built that Y2K bunker back in the day. This update could change the world.

CafeUBot? That only works with Smash Bros and Splatoon and i think it's not active.
