There's an update coming out March 31st, which can possibly mean anything. So if I were you, I'd block updates, TEST THEM NOW (if you already have them) and DO NOT UPDATE.

If you update and it patches the kernel exploit and we release it and you can't use it, don't come on here and whine please, because I'm giving a nice heads-up to those who want homebrew/piracy/whatever.

If you have not tried to block yet, here you go.

For those of you that are already on 5.5.1, I wouldn't block updates because there wont be any exploit to count on in 5.5.1 you already messed up

GUYS, serious question here, i haven't turned on my wii u since last year, im still at 5.5.0 ¿Should i update to 5.5.1 before Nintendo pushes a newer update?

Loadiine isn't even that stable and you can't play online. Some games like Splatoon can't even be played. Games like Twilight Princess and the latest Starfox are probably the only reason to want to exploit. But you're not really missing out on a lot and because of this and the fact that nobody is really working on exploiting 5.5.1, I don't see a reason someone would wait. Plus you gotta spend money on big SD card. A lot of programs to download just for 1 game. It's really no issue but if you wanna enjoy your Wii U, I wouldn't wait. Sorry if it seems like I'm bashing 5.5.1. I made that mistake on my old Wii U

Not all people want kexploit for loadiine. There's also Homebrew Launcher and a lot of possibilities for devs: for example I'm writing a snes emulator but it's very limitating to be unable to access sd for save files and roms and also you can't use the gx2 library. Also, I'm almost sure that sometime a 5.5 exploit will come, the only question is when and the reply is: when it's ready/it's the right moment

That's why I always said Kernel Sucks :P IOSU allows Real Title Installation for a any NUS content without a tik (.wumad) aka .cia for WiiU and ofc .wumads don't have a header so online play works perfectly <3

Today I found THREE Wii Us all under 5.5, on 5.4 or below. One was on a VERY old firmware. I can buy one of them from the guy, the problem is, is it worth it to me to spend the money just to make better homebrew, since nobody else seems to be making anything other than Loadiine for 5.4 and below, or do I sit and wait and wait for a 5.5 exploit to be released, or do I spend more time finding my exploit? At this point, I don't know which to do, since I don't give two shits about playing backups, is it really worth it to buy one of these old Wii Us? At that point, I'd probably just make homebrew for myself after having to invest ...
