    Somewhere, out there...
If I just run stuff from the Memorystick (Emulators and my backup ISOs), how long should I expect battery to last? Thoughts appreciated :)

depends on the psp, 1000, 2000, 3000? go? are the batteries new ones, or used?

the go battery in its best days, works for 2-3 hours.
the other psps battery is probably ~2 hours more if they're new and good. but they're often not. replacement batteries that arent from sony lose charge fast, they can go from 4 hours to 1 hour in under a year.

also depending strongly on settings. if you dim the light, you usually get like 10-20% longer life, maybe more. sound on or off probably a few minutes. and of course, the cpu settings. at 333hz it drains the batteries quite a bit faster than on 166.

all in all, without the umd drive the psp does save some energy, but how long the battery holds is stronger dependent on the other factors.
