Dont work...
On 30% Switch turned off
..

If so then the battery charging circuit inside the Switch would deny charging it at allIf you accidentally grounded your 5v pin on your switch you may have killed a battery cell.
just as a general question, does it still play for the normal ammount of time, like if you play zelda, does it still last 2-3 hours, or is it down to like an hour and a bit?
A Hour and a Bit ...
Why?
because that means its not a display error problem. somethings wrong with the battery or whatever setting decides when to shut down the system at low battery level.
if you booted the switch into linux, maybe some kind of energy saving setting managed to be applied to the system somehow? like switch into power save mode at X% and the switch really doesn't have that so it shuts off?
That doesn't make sense. You can't apply "settings" from Linux. Horizon is a different OS altogether which does not honor Linux settings.

I can confirm that I have the same problem the switch turns off on me when it's down to 55%. I fucked up the mod on one joycon (I tried to do it by bending the pin) which may have resulted in something being shortened :/
(Also on latest firmware)
--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------
This sounds like something that I may have accidentally done :/
Do you know of any way to confirm this before I go and buy a battery-replacement?
Try without the right joycon attached
check your pins inside the rail
and try doing a cold boot by holding power button for 10 seconds, plug it in, let it charge all the way, and see if it happens again
First of all thank you very much for your reply
Already did that, the issue still happens without the joycon attached.
On the switch those are fine fortunately. I'm not using the joycon where I messed up the pins anymore but those weren't fine at all so they might very well have caused the issue.
I tried that too with the same unfortunate result. It appears that the battery is really at fault and I ordered an replacement (The warranty on my switch is over already so I have nothing to loose).
I'll report back once my replacement arrives.
