When I play Animal Crossing online my ds is empty after max. 4 hours. I know Wi-Fi uses more energy, but this much..
Can I do something about it? (without money)

Personally speaking, I would be bragging about a whole 4 hours of runtime on wi-fi.
I don't even get that sort of time with my replacement battery.

depending on your settings, even with pure menu-sitting with a real game(no wifi), you don't get more than 5 hours.
tough that test was probably done with max backlight.

if you didn't try yet, try playing with backlight off(phat) or lowest setting(lite)
if you had backlight at full power it should atleast double your battery lifetime.

I played with full light, and I don't want to change the brightness of my screen. I had R4 originally, and no problems with my battery.
Stupid me. Why did I buy iTouchDS...
Btw: I use the Sakura firmware. Can that cause the problems maybe?

From experience and FACT!! .....FULL LIGHT/brightness & FULL /MAX SOUND/VOLUME = flattens battery a whole lot faster!!!

set your sound to 1/4 (use earphones when at home direct in your ears needs less volume level

) or 1/2 or even NO volume and brightness to 2nd or 3rd setting with a dslite .. and you will squeeze maby an hour extra outa the battery

Yeah, possibly.. But I just want to use it with full brightness, sound.. But I guess it's not possible to do something about battery. It's the iTouchDS, right?
I realy don't want to have troubles with my Nintendo DS.

Dont forget using a flashcard means its reading off a microsd card constantly, might be contributing to it. Either that or ur battery life is going down which does happne to rechargeable batts after a lot of use and charging. I know my old ds phatty was 2 years old and the batt wasnt lasting very long at all.

Edit: and yes brightness on max will kil it in 4 hours, put it on brightness 3 and it should look fine with a few extra hours batt and wifi will drain batt more

Surely you can cope with lower backlight and sound (I usually have it on lowest or second lowest light and 3/4 sound which I turn off when I don't use it)

I don't think the iTouch is the problem since 4 hours isnt too bad on full on wifi.

I wanted to hear that! I hoped 4 hours was pretty normal.
