Hey, I think Gbatemp should have a spot under other discussions for people who want to show off their baking/cooking skills.
I mean we have one to show off our art, why not one for baking/cooking?
or should I post my photos of my baking/cooking under Gbatemp art studio or general or blog?
I just think it's neat that people show off their baking/cooking skills!

GBAchef was a joke after a series of food threads ( http://gbatemp.net/threads/best-canned-tuna-ever.346240/page-2#post-4611518 ), and I thought it would in turn make a good series of food discussions whenever something food related popped into my head as a thread idea.

Anyway usual response here when it comes to section suggestions
Is the site overwhelmed with discussion of the topic?
Is it an obvious step for the site and the things it deals in (we are not getting many switch ROM hacking threads, however given the 3ds, wii, probably wii u, DS, GBA and even PSP before it had massive sections on the matter it is fairly safe to bet on one being made)?

If you can sustain a thread then one might be made a sticky, and then if it is called for a forum too. As a suggestion I might not specifically make it about things you made but instead that and the option to discuss things -- I can show off the nice crab apple jelly that is just coming of age but the option to discuss what is best to season the jelly with (cardamom, cloves and cinnamon have all been tried, all work well and it is only my unbridled adoration of cinnamon that keeps me from choosing a best one properly).

I bake. I cook. I'm single. I'm told this is odd.

NAh, but I baked some cookies the other day and shared it with my coworkers. They loved 'em. I'll try and take some pictures later.

I suggest this thread be moved to the appropriate section and used as the official "show off your cooking" thread. :)

I don't cook much, but here's some old pictures of food I have sitting in my dropbox.
I really recommend the five spice chicken, recipe here: https://www.budgetbytes.com/2014/10/slow-cooker-5-spice-chicken/

Asparagus and ham quiche:
Quiche recipe here, I didn't use this recipe specifically but I took inspiration from it: https://uglyfoodtastesbetter.com/2011/07/03/superquiche/
Great blog by the way, tons of food porn and delicious recipes.

Baked hotdogs filled with cheese and onion. I dip them in condiments, they're really good.
I just use wieners, cheese sticks and (cooked) onions, and wrap them in pizza dough. They're great to freeze and reheat in the microwave in just a minute, making for nice breakfasts.

Laksa noodles (Singaporean specialty) with fish cake and prawn:

Rendang curry:

Moroccan lamb stew (slow cooked):

Sushi I made a while back, cutting them up without mangling them in the process was tricky:

Copycat Big Mac:

Slow cooked and grilled chinese five spice chicken (marinated in grated ginger, garlic, five spice powder, sesame oil). Recipe here, I also made the yellow jasmine rice linked to on the same page: https://www.budgetbytes.com/2014/10/slow-cooker-5-spice-chicken/
This is one of my favorites, it's so good:

An attempt at ramen that turned out okay but would have been better with some proper soup stock (I just used the seasoning mix included):

I also have various pictures of pizza but I didn't post them because I'm sure everyone knows what a pizza looks like.

I really just wanna know if posting photo's of me baking food would be allowed on the art section since baking is a type of art.
