nope, after the bclim if 00 = Hole or FF = square
What about the banner that shows up on top screen? Is that 3D?
I also think it's somewhat different - mega badges (like all the bigger Super Mario Bros./Zelda 1 NES badges) show the full creation on the top screen even if it's separated. Say, Bowser, or big jumping Mario.

Is not the badge it self a 3d model?
yes but thanks to some tool is possible editing model. and the texture are a different thing that can be edited even with paint if extracted.

I am pro at hex editing but not for coding :D

i can totally see this being applied to a badge that opens something like settings (hopefully with a custom path . . . end result custom icons for real . . . hopefully)

What I'm really hoping will be possible someday - a tool that lets you upload a png image, then resizes it accordingly (either into badge pieces or shrinks it to 1-badge size) then fixes the model(s) and texture(s) and converts it to a badge usable by reinjecting the extdata.

Heck, maybe someday we can have a homebrew dedicated to injecting/extracting badges? Maybe 9.9/10.1 users could inject badges with it?

Glad to see that custom badges are possible :P
I'm a bit of a slowpoke since Sunshell hates me, but I'll catch up someday :D
We have to - or rather @Méga-Mew should start a new thread now showing that custom badges are possible, I can move all my documentations/tutorials under it so hackers would have it easier to hack :)
Such a good day to be alive :)

Text editing is easy, in the header

Depending on how easy badge making is, I'll give it a try sometime soon.

How do a few badge packs sound? More Mario Maker stuff, a My Little Pony set, and perhaps a Gravity Falls set are what I'll likely end up doing.

the purpose of this game is to make nintendo money.
exactly. i will spend 1$ only for 50 ties.

the most easiest possible. now we only need free badges injection for add badges that we don't have.
The thing is that the method that currently exists isn't that easy. It requires at least semi-decent Hex Editing knowledge and multiple swaps, not to mention that badges different than squarish would be another 47234893 times harder. But I'm looking forward to the tutorial as well :)
