Hacking Backup launcher v3 gamma on 3.4?

I have a couple questions. I'm going to install the Twilight hack (the version for 3.4, from the Homebrew Channel page) and the Homebrew channel on my Wii. Does the newest version of the backup launcher work on 3.4? Just want to make sure.
Also, is the backup launcher just a channel like the homebrew channel or is it something more complicated/permanent?

One last thing: When I try to burn my Sonic Unleashed ISO, I get this:

1) Check the sticky "Oct23rd FIX" for install the backup launcher on 3.4 once you have HBC on your Wii and have read at least 5 aplication's page at wiibrew.org.
2) The Backup Launcher is just installation of the channel and his cIOS
3) Go to Start/Config/ControlPanel/add_or_delete_programs on your PC, and delete alcohol120% and get ImgBurn or Nero

Sorry, but what does this mean?

Also, my Wii has a problem where it occasionally randomly shuts down on its own. Is there any part of this process where this happening will brick or damage my Wii?

Sorry I don't speak that well the english but I meant ot say: read several pages at wiibrew.org, read some of the aplications to see how they run and how what they all have in common in its installation..!!

just want to point out that IF your wii "randomly shuts down during an important install it COULD WELL BRICK YES....
