You don't need WiFi.
Download this:

And drag the included 00000001 folder to the root of the SD card.
Then run the cios_installer.

is it possible to hold the 0.3 & 0.1 at the same time,
sometimes we maybe need run old games use the 0.1 version?

i dont think 0.1 can work alongside 0.3 because they both use different cIOS.

0.1 using rev5 and cIOS_fix

0.3 using rev 6 or wiigators cIOS

oh i forgot about dvdx.

0.3 doesnt require dvdx to be installed whereas 0.1 does. not sure how that would effect it...

either way though, you cant have the cIOS for 0.3 and the cIOS(s) for 0.1 installed at the same time so i dont think it would work...


but i'm not the genius behind the operation, this is only what i've learned from gbatemp.

The new one doesnt use DVDx in the form we know it and as far as i know they can both run side by side but id have to check to confirm fully.

Guys I have a problem.
i have a pal wii, and a pal copy of paper mario,
when i try to play it, it gets past the wii strap screen and gives me an error:
game disc could not be read, refer to manual .... etc..

the compatibility wiki says that its supported ,, whats wrong ?

Ok First off thank you some much wiigator. just got my wii and its now so much fun.

Anyway so far i have tried these games and have had no problems

No More Heros - not patched and Patched
Resident Evil The Umbrella Chronicles - not Patch (wont load Patch)
Final Fantasy Chocobo's Dungeon - Not Patch (wont load Patch)
Wii music - Patched

so far all of these are USA. sadly i just got the new tenchu (unpatched) and when loaded i got the error message. i thought it was bc it was japan region. but had the same Problem with Star Wars TFU (unpatched) wich is US And when i played De Blob (unpatched)(USA) it went threw the intro fine but when i created a profile the error message poped up. do These games just not work or is there a work around?

No it doesn't not. There two totally different IOSs

hi when i used backup loader 0.1 i had to install CIOS36_rev5-64-v1042.wad which i did using wad manager in the homebrew channle

before i installed 0.3 i removed CIOS36_rev5-64-v1042.wad with wad manager and uninstalled the dvdx setting and removed the old loader channel (the one with the halo) again with wad manager .

when installing 0.3 it was a .dol file which i ran in the homebrew channle, i was wondering on how i would unload/remove this cios if i wanted to as i did previously with the wad manager with CIOS36_rev5-64-v1042.wad.
