It depends on the burner and media you use. But its always safer to burn at lower speed (2x or 2.4x).
btw, I tried HoD 2/3 (decrypted) on the loader 0.3 beta. Unfortunately 2 still doesn't load properly, which is the same with waninkoko 0.1 loader.

I'm just about to try House of the Dead 2+3 Return, unpatched on the 0.3 Beta, is there any particular speed I should burn at?

It seems some network issues. Make sure your internet connection is working properly.

Can someone help me here? Anyway i installed a cIOS WAD file for the original backup launcher aswell as DVDX. So I tried the new cIOS installer and it didnt work. So I tried to uninstall the previous version using Wanonkokos Cios unistaller. It went fine so I tried the installer and I get the same error something about http or network address? Unsure though. Anyone help?

I tried installing the reboot .dol that Gator provided for the one guy with the one problem that seemed to fix his lousy media loading of whatever game he was having issues with... I figured hey if it may help why not try it.... Well since it was nothing but a .dol file I just made an folder calling it "reboot cios " and renamed the cios_fix.dol to boot.dol... of course there was no .icon or meta xml...which from what I thought you really didn't need unless you wanted it to look nice...
anyways...when I goto load it via homebrew it goes to the text screen and goes to install and I get an network.net.init-failed error-116....

My internet is hooked up... I tried several attempts... I even tried access the internet with the shop channel and opera browser and had no problems... I have the work around installed... I did that before the .3 was released...

Anyone else having that problem? I have had it occasionally with the Wiidumper but after trying it again a couple times it will work... it that happens to be the same error that appears in this reboot cios "fix" wiigator posted...

Any help with that would be greatly appreciated or maybe I am just doing it completely wrong...but seeing as I didn't have a .wad then I didn't know another option of installing it...

I know it really can't be my connection...I have ethernet plugged into my Wii instead of wifi..

My Wii is a USA-NTSC with the 3.3 workaround... and I have the latest (nice) homebrew channel update by Team Twiizers that was just released as well...What gives?

@WiiGator

I installed your new cIOS, and now Mario Kart doesn't even boot (it did before, but would only give me an error saying that the disc could not be read)
And Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles does not work at all anymore, when it did before.

I'd suggest you burn the game again with lower speed, or change the media. I also had the same problem with Mario Kart burnt with 4x. But when it is burnt with 2x everything works well.

One question:
What causes the " disc read error, please read the wii manual and turn off the console" ?
Any way to fix those errors?
Also I'd like to thank Wiigator and everyone involved in this project

No, no and no, thats not the case with most of these. don't post things like that and have some poor kid use up all his blanks.

Problem with WiiGator v0.3

i burnt Wii Music (NTSC-U) onto a DVD-R (I have a PAL Wii). firstly i got dvd identify error, so i burnt it using a different drive, and i got past the jumbled letters.
then it said something about no sd codes, so i put ocarina off. now it got rid of 'no sd codes' but still it won't get past that screen with the information. I have changed the Hooktype (what does that mean?) and and between force PAL60 and PAL50.
any help?

Wii Music will just crash at a green screen if you try to force it to PAL.. You have to run it in NTSC, which means a red screen if you are using RGB. inferior cables (RF, Composite, Component) will be fine.

I just tried spyro: Dawn Of The Dragon (NTSC + Unpatched) on the new 0.3 backup loader.
It works PERFCTLY (kinda).
At least I have a game to keep me occupied on 0.3
The only things that are kinda bad are the cutscene at the beginning, it jumps a bit, but for me, it only lasted about 3secs and the cutscene was normal again.
The other thing is if you press a button when something is loading, it comes up with "Disc Cannot be read, switch off wii", but thats only if you press something when something is loading, if you dont, everything works fine. could this be perhaps cause of this error?...
Maybe not for all, but for this it is.
I hope this helps the compatibilty matrix more!
