Could someone give us a quick summary for what maybe included in the next version of Wiigator's backup launcher for those who can't be bothered to look through the this whole thread please?

Also, if i wish to become a beta tester do i have to get in contact with the creator (wiigator)? As i'm not honestly going to leak this like, someone else did with Waninkoko's backup loader which this was orignialy based on.

Im sure someone who 'can't be bothered to look through the this whole thread' wouldnt exactly make a great beta tester. Theres a lot on this site have contributed a lot by posting answers to questions and answered them again and again - someone who is too lazy to read them doesnt even deserve a copy of the final program in my opinion not to mind a beta copy.

OK been a bit of lurker too here, but have been reading through this topic from start to finish.

I do have a question though...

Let me explain why.

A few of us have downloaded games and patched them that's true

14 for me at my last count, but I really don't mind downloading/converting to untouched iso's again.

Let's be honest folks we all will eventually anyway...starting from best loved --> least loved.

Anyway, back to my question.

Will it be possible for us to have both the old launcher and the new (0.3 if I'm correct) to select from?

If so, then why is anyone bothered whether or not this new launcher can do both?

As I said, start again folks, best loved --> least loved.

How many games do you actually want to play in a day!?

Anyway thanks to the power-coders who are doing their best here to provide us with what we thought was an impossible thing.

Keep it up and take as long as you need.

Oh my Jesus lord on high it is an actual intelligent question. The answer is that Wiigator is working out the kinks so the release .3 will be able to play patched and unpatched games.

Okay, fair enough. I suppose only people who can be trusted with not leaking this can be beta testers. Although, I suppose it's fair enough waiting for some sort of news to pop-up from Wiigator himself.

Until then, i'm just going to keep checking back and look in other threads instead.

Edit: Wouldn't it be best to sort out the major problems (i.e. loading times and gameplay performance) first and then, working on support for playing unpatched backups? As depending how much time this will take, it will take a load of research and programming to get this done and release it to the public domain.

I for one, would not have catered to the patched games. Backward compatabiltiy is a must in commercial software -but heck, this aint that. Still, you taking the time to address that - it speaks volumes on who you are. Thanks!

why not sticky the thread Gaisuto? and get the topic creator to update it with all the questions answered in the thread. (or just make a new stickied topic)
