Hacking Backup discs on modded Wii

Just picked up a second hand Wii (no idea the history on it). Some burnt backups play from the regular disc channel, other games will only play through Neogamma (gives error when tried on the regular disc channel)........WHY is my question?

Run a syscheck report. It may have a mod chip in it or have something like cioscorp installed on it.

You might be lacking the required IOS for the game. When launched from NeoGamma cIOS is used instead.
Anyway, NeoGamma is really old, you might want to update the softmod, and maybe get a USB HDD for games.
