Hacking Backing up games?

Hello I have just purchased an xbox 360 slim with an xkey.
Now I'm just wondering how do I go about backing up my current games?
I've heard of using a x360usb pro with my old elite disk drive and then I just have to verify/patch them with xbgx?
Someone please enlighten me

You'll need Xbox backup creator.
With the X360USB pro v2, you won't have to flash a 0800 firmware to the drive.
If you got a USB Pro v1, you'll need to flash it with a 0800 firmware.

Other then that, patching and verifying goes through ABGX.

Is using this method the easiest way I don't really wanna open me old 360 up, it stil works fine

I rip my games with a spare 360 drive and my x360USB Pro v2, and it's ridiculously easy. Don't know if it's the easiest but I have no desire to look for anything easier.

The 360 is easy to open, at least, especially if you have one of the opening tools for it.

Yeh I've opened one before, looks like I'll go this route then. If I can't get a v2 is it much hassle having to do the 0800 flash and is that the only difference between the v1 and v2

v2 has a ck3i built into it so it can automatically power the drive without a separate unit (ck3i/lite/mini) and aside from the ability to rip without 0800 flashing you can also use it to flash western digital hard drives to be compatible with the 360 as the primary storage drive. Other than those, nothing ground-breakingly different. Having to flash the 0800 firmware is going to be the biggest pain, but to be honest, if you're going to keep using your 360 Slim for now I personally would leave the 0800 fw flashed to the phat drive and make a mental/physical note that you have to flash it back to stock/LT+ to play games, this way if you're not using that Xbox you don't have to keep flashing it whenever you want to rip more games.

Hopefully I can find meself a v2 if not I'll just make do with a v1 yeh when my slim arrives the fatty won't be getting used so that's simple enough
