hi.

i am planning to buy a new laptop and was wondering if anybody can help me out with my questions.
1. which laptop brand can burn a good/playable back-up wii game on a dvd-r?
2. can you recommend a good/reliable external dvd (dual layer) burner that i can use for burning my back-up games?
3. any cons on using a external dvd burner in wii game back-up?

thanks!

Your really asking questions about laptops and not about the wii.

Most drives that go over 4x now will be decent enough to do as you require, I have a dell laptop drive and it works fine.

actually, since laptop drives have a worse record of sucking and also of burning out somewhat quicker,
(going from no errors ever to lots of errors per disc)
you probably should use an external

although its always gonna be an internal desktop drive FTW

whatever you do, just use appropriate software, name-brand media, burn quick first, then slower if you have problems, and dont try to do other stuff with you computer while burning.
