Here is the original source, I have very small understanding on how to update this, the original coder says it needs to be updated to work with the new version of libnds, and devkit pro to be able to make any new changes.

Doesn't need to be updated...
What the developer wanted was to update the sourcecode to be compliant with the new DevKitPro versions so that if he were to update the application, he could compile it with the new version of DevKitPro.

There is an already compiled version called AXE_0.003.nds included in the .zip archive.
