Hacking Avoiding Auto Update On Animal Crossing City Folk

Is there a way to bypass auto updates on legit discs? My walmart has the game but i'm not sure if i want to buy it legally since it would put a new update on my wii. I have an app called the wii menu loader 0.5 and it has an option that says " disable updates ". Would that stop animal crossing from auto updating?

I know that Starfall skips updates, and so does GeckoOS.

yeah but you'd have to use it everytime you wanted to play the game. Install Starfall if your on 3.2 to keep disabling updates patched into the system or just use GeckoOS to boot the games
