hey guys so i found out what was going on with my problems:

use xci2converter to convert your games
i had an issue and found out that a corrupted game(converted incorrectly) will make you freeze after booting
so it would freeze after nintendo screen and you could never reach home screen

anyways

user 4.0.1 can confirm patch is working
thanks @Falo

Can anybody me say, when a injected Game saved, displayed the switch this savegame at the storage as the savegame from the injected game or from the original (eShop) Game?

I dont want to lose my save when later comes a better way to load Backups?

I read this last night (i dont know which thread) someone mentioned the following
  • Checkpoint homebrew saved original game file as 2 files
  • After using LayeredFS, Checkpoint homebrew saved 4 in total, so the assumption was original game file + injected game save files were included
I cannot confirm the above yet, as i'm at work... but just FYI

Sorry guys, but I am on 4.1.0. I have done the reed switch mod on my joy con which works perfect. But now how do I get in a position where I can start using LayeredFS please? What do I need to do / copy over to my SD card or what tutorial can I use to assist in this? There are so many threads which is so confusing. Any help would be much appreciated.

That's great. Thanks for the reply.
  1. Once again, boot into Hekate-IPL (Step 1).
This is the step I am stuck at. When im in RCM it boots to a black screen so I know that works fine. How do I get my switch in a position where it can do these steps please:

  1. Once again, boot into Hekate-IPL (Step 1).
  2. Enter "Launch firmware" and select "RomFS".
  3. Your now in your system's home menu

I'm on firmware 4.01 but I was able to boot donkey kong using a cartridge mario O donar. The minimum firmware list shows DK country as 4.1, but it worked on 4.01. Just wanted to report it. Wondering how it happened? I'm assuming there is no chance it burned a fuse by running it would it have? Does this mean that higher firmware games can run on lower firmware via layeredfs?

On 4.1.0 Great Stuff, Got Puyo Puyo Tetris Running with LayeredFS!
I am going to continue to test games. (Luckily for me, I kept the Global Testfire and World Premiere of Splatoon 2: so I have more donors :D)
+Edit+: The Pre-Release Versions, were not suitable candidates.

Is layeredfs working in the latest atmosphere and 13.2.1 fw? I am trying to mod my character's clothes to the switch t-shirt and the mods do not apply to my game. I followed the correct folder structure

Any help will be appreciated. thanks

The trick for me was to go into the settings and crank up the Wiimote sensitivity to the max and it gets twitchy but you can win that way lol
