Is it possible to tast it using hekate on 2.x yet?
Anyone working on it?! Or it will be exclusive for 5.1 for a long time?
Thanks in advance

Edit

Falo just Made it guys Here :

port for 4.x here
https://www.dropbox.com/s/dxa4tnzv8uvt9ur/SwitchToolbox v1.0.0.1.7z?dl=0

for 1.x - 3.x we need to wait for Emunand or an updated layeredfs, kernel patch alone is not enough to make it working!

credits for this goes to @Falo
thanks so much for your effort

Currently LayeredFS is locked to 5.1. I imagine a port for lower firmwares is being developed, but I haven't seen any ETA's.

Maybe not since these guys are trying to pirate games using it. They don't like that I don't believe and rightfully so.
Okey but this is not the case for the rest of the community..even tho if he closed it to 5.1 only i can see lower firmware will go to the tx solution and they will pirate anyway.

Then what are you doing on a console hacking forum, Sir Lancelot??

What gets me are the ones with thousands of old school console and arcade games they downloaded, but don't understand they're doing the same thing. Some type of psychosis or denial. Regardless of console age, the companies can relaunch the games.

They use unauthorized tools to break the security on another company's property to run Super Mario 2, then claim the Lorde Jesuse will save their souls because they didn't try to load Mario Odyssey :glare:

I believe its more a legal thing for them moddifed program that dont allow piracy is less than creating the tool to allow piracy or at least it's perceived that way.

Absolutely. Intellectual property is intellectual property. A few years of age does not negate IP ownership.

Emulation that does not run a backup of your original media or your original media is piracy. You can hide behind the legal classification defined by Sony vs Bleem, but we all know what emulators do: run pirated games.

No. Before all the backpedaling edits, the dev was lecturing everyone on the moral implications and damage that "piracy" is doing--because he has a convenient personal moral system to justify only pirating old games.

I think more people would be against pirating old software if it wasn't so expensive. I love Nintendo, but a 32 year old game just isn't worth 8$.

to be fair, gbatemp cant openly associate with.. illegal loading. we are always running our own, personal backups. Like, I own odyssey cart, I only have 4 cart slots in my case, time to load backups. If people abuse it, welllllllll we cant stop that now can we ;)

Someone with a 4.1.0 Switch, who wants to play guinea pig ? ^^
I did port the kernel patch from 5.1.0 to 4.1.0 and made my own patcher.

Only things you need is BCPKG2-1-Normal-Main.bin, BOOT0.bin, TSEC & SBK Key from a nand dump.

Written in pure C#, no hactool.exe needed, comes with source code.
- link removed, get updated version here: https://gbatemp.net/threads/atmosphere-layeredfs.507653/page-2#post-8059831
- copy BCPKG2-1-Normal-Main.bin & BOOT0.bin into "Data" dir
- run KeyDumper.exe
- enter SBK, TSEC and optional SD SEED (you can also edit the Settings.ini)
- the program should generate a keys.txt and decrypt all needed files
- now run KernelPatcher.exe, it will use the decrypted Kernel.bin and generate a kernel-patched.bin

- KeyDumper.exe supports FW 1.0.0-5.1.0
- KernelPatcher.exe currently only supports FW 4.1.0 & FW 5.1.0
- i plan to add more tools to my SwitchToolbox, like sd card decrypter, maybe i should make my own topic for this ?

I just did it but it's telling me

Kernel FW 4.1.0 detected!, currently not supported...
Patch Successful!

is it normal? as kernel-patched.bin is generated.
