Ok, I dont actually know how to get that, but I have some flashbacks of reading something like that somewhere. To the batcave again. (Is it time to remove my xmas hat?)

I think I said that earlier in this thread or in the OTP thread.
The simplest and fastest way to get your OTP/OTP hash is from downgrading to 2.1 and using the spider exploit.

Probably one more reason for sticking with emuNAND for now, over a sysNAND environment.
Well, Nintendo could maybe do that. But if you patch NAND writing in Process9/arm9bin to never write to particular NAND sectors, it should be fine, and I don't think Kernel11 will be able to do anything.

Well if I'm going full no-hardmod way (tryhard, I know) I prefer a slower way to it if I can avoid touching the nands.

The other method involves hardmods, so you'd be messing with the nand either way. Just have to decide if you wanna do it purely in software or not.

EDIT: Nevermind this post. I didn't read it right and missed the point completely. Prolly should go to bed lol

Bummer. No N3DS OTP's (or its hashes) for now. At least I have the 2DS one. (Batty has his head cold now... time to find him a hat)

What I mean to say is that the brute-force method for N3DS is achieved via hardmods, whereas the downgrading method doesn't necessarily require a hardmod. Unless you screw something up in which case a hardmod would help you recover from that scenario.

I can't seem to compile arm9loaderhax for the life of me. I keep getting error. Can someone help me, or at least compile it for me if I provide the otp.bin?

CakesFW CIA launcher for those who want to test it. Was originally supposed to launch Reinand (Mrrraou was the one that made the elf file by the way. I've just repacked it with new icon/banner), but it launches Cakes instead. So I've branded it for CakesFW. :P

CakesFWCIA.rar

Obviously it will only work on a 9.2 sysnand. (for A9L users)
Works Great on old3ds from 9.2 aurreinand. Love the icon too. Thanks

I didn't build arm9loaderhax myself, because my only working developing environment is a Linux environment. Compiling arm9loaderhax on Linux will brick.
And what kind of brick it is ?

I built you two installers, though, as well as three others' and my own two, and as far as I know everyone's except yours worked.
If those didn't work then either your consoles are a special case, or the OTPs you sent me were invalid, OR they're not actually bricked and you don't have your payloads set up properly.

Haha that was 2 days ago still in my text reply for some reason. Ive had someone compiling for me. Sorry
Oh wow, drafts to the "rescue".
So my builds worked then?

It was still in my draft reply from 2 days ago before i got help. I've many 3ds and had loads needed doing. Your too worked great thanks. And @FONDZ is now doing the rest as I didn't want to bother you again. Sorry for the confusion

No worries, I'm glad my build environment is working well, at least.

so we have working arm9loaderhax cfw support for o3ds? last time I checked only reinand on n3ds supports arm9loaderhax

Aurora Wright's ReiNAND Mod, AuReiNAND, works on O3DS and N3DS alike, and even lets you boot 9.0 FIRM so you're able to run things like D9 and emuNAND9 again.
In terms of a9lh-compatible CFWs, I'd say that's the best option.

I dunno if it helps but I just noticed that "https://plailect.github.io/OTP/" guide includes n3ds(E) pack with a windows.py script which uses nand.fat16.xorpad instead of nand.fat16_0x5_.xorpad. Also includes "NCSD_header_o3ds.bin" I dunno if ncsd should be for n3ds instead.
I think the correct command should be like this
"3DSFAT16tool.exe -d -n emuNAND_bricked.bin ctr.bin nand.fat16_0x5_.xorpad
3DSFAT16tool.exe -i -o emuNAND_bricked.bin ctr.bin nand.fat16_0x4_.xorpad"
Good thing a backed out. Can anyone confirm that the script is faulty?
