If you try to sell locally then maybe you can get that much, if somebody is desperate. I wouldn't try and flip it on ebay, because these are being sold there for $350-$400 (system only), and after the ebay and paypal fees, shipping costs, and the tax that you paid on it, then the profit margin is very slim. Amount available differs greatly depending on where you live. Apparently they are ready to get where you live, but in Vegas they are always gone the day they get in.

Haven't seen them in stores, but there's a lot on craigslist for decent prices. I got mine for $300 with BOTW, a 128gb sd card, and a screen protector. It was used, but it came with the box and everything and was practically brand new. There's a lot of scalpers, but also a lot of reasonable sellers, too.

One could also say it's an ass move to purposely buy a console that's hard to get just to sell for profit. The reason being that you could have left it for a person to buy at msrp, but then took that away and make anyone who wants one forced to pay higher prices because they couldn't find it in stores because of people like you. Just saying. If $100 really makes the difference for your rent, you should probably reevaluate your income and expenses to fix having to even worry about scalping.
