Does anyone know, from a performance standpoint, which Allocation Unit Size would suit an AppToUsb setup would benefit most from?

That has nothing really to do allocation size. The remaining 2TB unallocated?
The drive is formatted to exfat in its entirety. Windows 10 recognizes Exfat just fine.
I disconnect the drive from the PS4 when not in use, plug it into my Windows 10 PC and continue to use it as an external drive.
See how that works?

That makes sense, although I find apps2 annoying to manage.
