Hacking Apps not showing up in homebrew on vWii menu

hi everyone! I'm new to installing homebrew and all that good stuff. I just was able to install homebrew on the vwii menu of my wiiu. I've been following the definitive vWii hacking guide.
I just dumped all of the IOS files to WAD on my sd card. It was only after I unzipped the cIOS installer and IOS236 installer and put them on my sd that the apps wouldn't show up in homebrew anymore. I'm afraid that I might be missing a file or something on my sd card. Idk what though as I've been following the guide.

That could have several reasons. The SD could be dead if it is old. At first I would create a backup of all needed files, reformat the SD and then set everything up again. That has also worked for me several times.
