Does this one come with a guaranteed search warrant and Police raid too?
EDIT: Guess so...
I wonder if their doing this as a publicity stunt or something. Luckily it's just a phone and no one cares... right?
Why do they even take a priceless iPhone to a bar in the first place?
Priceless? A free iPhone even if it is a prototype is really nice and cool. Now you know ur the only one in the world owning one.
They do it so that they can test it out in real-world situations.
Except the last time they did it, they stuck the phone inside a rubber case. It wasn't a completely real-world situation because the engineer couldn't touch the phone directly. Hence, Antennagate.
Still, I'm surprised this one wasn't handcuffed to the guy's scrotum or something.
Edit: Here's an image of the Prototype:
It happened twice. Lol, that's kind of a fail.
And there was this just a couple of weeks ago:
Leaked 3g Macbook
These hardware leaks are becoming too common for me to believe they are a coincidence.
Free viral marketing is too tempting for these companies to resist.
Also CNET Apple (my opinion)
Sad, but still interesting.. Now if we could get some pics of the proto, I'd be more interested.
Something for all Apple fanboys to drool.. Off to polish my MBP
Are they leaving behind prototypes on purpose?
I don't know why they reported it to police when they can track it down with their apple gps, they can even secretly enable the camera and see the person who picked it up
ibnobody thats not the prototype thats just a scammed wood block so ur stupid
Are they creating unnecessary hype for a product that probably won't have anything new compared to competitors, except the closed iOS? Probably yes.
I like how the iPhone iOS is built, but otherwise I don't understand the hype about the iPhone. Actually I could imagine Symbian S^3 reaching the same level of the current iOS in a few months if the next S^3 update is released on time..
InB4 Apple rage, I do have a 2010 15" MBP and I'm quite pleased with it. Comparing phones on the other hand is quite something else and I actually could see companies like Nokia managing to get better phones than the iPhone is if they could just get the software part updated on par with the iOS. Just look what Google has done with the Android
More like a stunt to increase the iPhone hype level even more. Hah what losers.
It's a matter of time when Samsung dethrones Apple (This sentence not directed to the stunt, a general)
Singapore is a clear iPhone predominant nation. Anywhere you go, no matter how you go be it the bus or train, about half of the people are using their iPhone right in front of your face. Reason? Us singaporeans love to compete and hate to lose out to one another; or in local context, kiasu. Many also think that the iPhone is 'superior' and yeah, brag to everyone else. The main reason why I got myself an iPhone is because I heard that iPhones are largely durable.
I have to admit, the iPhone is actually more durable than any other phone I've used (Galaxy S II is still early). I've been using the iPhone 4 for more than a year now, and to be frank I'm quite happy with it.
The reason why they left a prototype? I bet it is to create unnecessary hype.
This just proves they're doing it on purpose.
yea it must be a stunt to get peoples attention same old apple i swear if this happens again im not going to expect much from this company although i will wait for the iphone 6 or whatever comes out next year for me to upgrade to im not going to get this next one this year
I wholeheartedly agree. Sure, iPhones were great and one of a kind when they first came out but now...Android and Symbian will surpass it. In fact, IMO, Android has surpassed iOS a while ago. I feel like they're just creating completely unnecessary hype which they don't need because they have thousands of Apple fanboys who'll support them even if they create an iSuckAtEverything.
phones get leaked all the time
why so much attention with the iPhone ?
Apparently, you can't appreciate my sense of humor.
