my point is, if there are 400 games, and only 396 will work - regardless of whether you want to play it or not - that's still 99%, not 100%. your desire to play a game has zero affect on a particular cart's compatibility.

I think you COMPLETELY missed his point.

He said that as long as he can play all the games he wants, he CONSIDERS the r4 to have 100% compatibility. Whether the fact that the r4 has 100% compatibility in reality or not, has nothing to do with the way he perceives the r4. As long as he or anyone else can play all the games they want, then it is perceived in their mind that the r4 has 100% compatibility, and is therefore perfect.

YOUR LOGIC IS F**KING ANNOYING!

hrmm that's strange all games work on my R4. even if I have to use the arm9 patch sometimes. a new firmware will be out soon anyway and if you don't consider the R4 100% you will then

Oh well, nothing is perfect in this world

you're an idiot of life.

the ignorant sounding thread title should of given it away.

oh i mean, you're right. 100%. oh wait...

And yes, R4 have 100% compatibility. How many of you guys downloaded that game and found out it didn't work?

Just testes both with and without Arm7 fix. Have to confirm freezing in both cases. Works without problems in No$gba so image should be fine.

And I do believe this kind of thread is important, even if it is just a stupid jp doggy game no one cares about

ok, so email R4 about it and life goes on? nothing needs to be discussed?

exactly

It can be assumed that this issue has been reported already.

I agree that there is nothing to be discussed here. There is a not working game (resulting in no 100% compatibility) in 1.11, that's a fact, and that's something that should be mentioned in a R4 forum. In a perfect forum this thread would have gotten 1 reply after the release of 1.12 saying "it works now" or "it still doesn't work".

There will always be the odd game here or there that will not work 100% on the R4

Atleast its not one of those cheap chinese clones that never gets updated and has so many problems

No it doesn't.

When a game, that requires a ARM7 fix, doesn't work on a flash card when you first start it up means it doesn't work.

Therefore, the '100% compatibility' is false.

Moan on and on if you would like pkprostudio, it is a simple fact that the R4 hasn't got '100% compatibility'

I guess it comes down to how you define '100% compatibility"

True.

I define '100% compatibility' as: If you put a clean Rom (not patched, edited, nothing)
on your Micro SD Card and play it with the R4 and it works straight away
without having issues.

Not having '100% compatibility' as: If you put a clean Rom (not patched, edited, nothing)
on your Micro SD Card and play it with you R4 and it gives you issues i.e
data/save problems or it doesn't boot then you find out you have to patch it.

So that brings us to...

Which in my opinion is...

Thank you.

I don't really know if the R4 is 100% compatible, it also depends what micro sd card you use. As for the arm7 fix I consider it as an patch like with pc games. They might not work at first on some pcs but after a patch they might.

all this bitchin over 1%

grow up, its a flashcart. Spend more time playing the 99% of games that do work and you'd be a happier man/boy/girlyboy/hadrian.

Hehe...I popped in to see if the top secret R4 firmware was out yet. Word is that it's something "special" but I just hope all games needing arm7 patch will be sorted, and R4 can claim 100% compatability again.

Anywayz there are more than enough good games to play (Rescuing girls in Zelda still but taking my time and enjoying the game. ), so everyone with an R4 should be happy!!! :
