quick question, when I use the ultimate palico file. It works fine until I go in a game or do something and then I reverts back to lvl 20 and the skills go back down to 4. Any idea I know I saw something in the forum about it but I cant find it. Thanks abunch

That's because your level cap for the Palicoes are still at 20

Not possible with save editing.

I think you can with NTR + cheat plugin though

Inorder to use a cheat plugin, you need to have a n3DS and a CFW installed.

That would require editing the game's files by dumping the game files and then editing them, as each weapon's damage is hard-coded in the game and not saved in the save file (o3DS method) or using NTR cheats (n3DS method)

I wish there was a way to use NTR plugins on o3DS with MH. I don't have the money to get a n3DS

You can look under "Useful Stuff" in page 1, there are some info for equipment ID etc, you can edit them into your box using the editor.

@APM everything works perfect, good job. One thing though. I use the quest completed to do all quests. Thing is after a point, the villagers spoke to me and as a result I got 3 "unregistered" quests. They have no name and no conditions. As a result I do not get the awards on my guild cars. Any suggestions?

Don't think it's possible. The game has lots of checks in place to prevent that. Your best bet is to use one of those ntr cheat plugins

Hey APM I would like to contribute a little bit to this thread, This post is about the best Elemental Dual Blades + Set to them. (So there are 5 sets) Dragon, Thunder, Water, Fire and Ice

The skills that all 5 sets have are the same.

Critical Eye +3 (30% affinity)
Elemental Crits (When you crit your elemental deals 25% extra dmg)
Razor Sharpness (Your sharpness goes 50% Slower down, so one could say you had 2x sharpness)
Elemental Attack up ( This is directly 10% more elemental attack)
Specific Element up +2 (Specific as in. Dragon set is Dragon atk +2, if water, Water atk +2) this is why there are 5 sets cuz this skill changes. what does element up do? it is also 10% element dmg increase but, in mh4u +2 would increase element attack by 40, since the dmg got "balanced" to gen, I think it's either +5 or +10. so if its +10 then this skill does +10 elemental and 10% more elemental dmg.

Now for the chosen dual blades.

Before I state them you should know these things.

The dual blades required slots for having these perfect skill set, so even if you realize there is a better dual blade, it might not be better at all because it would proly lack a gem slot, which would render them useless in this combo. keep in mind those DB's are best in a combo with the sets.

Dragon - Devil Jho, one of the two great dragon DB's, the other one is sagaru they are both close, but this one takes the cake. THIS IS AN EVENT REWARD DB Hyper Devil Jho is not released yet. so keep that in mind.
Thunder - Kirin, kirin is the best thunder dual blade
Water - Mizutsune There has been a lot of close dual blades, but because of slot requirement, and the sharpness calculation etc. Mizutsune DB has proven to scale better.
Fire - Glavenus. A lot of people think "Salamander" DB is better, the difference between those two are that Glavenus has 30 more raw dmg, but 8 less fire than Salamander. otherwise, Salamander has 35% affinity but 0 sockets. Some argue that Salamander is better, but they forget, if you go Salamander, you lose a gem slot, which means your CE+3 will be CE+2. Because of that, the new difference would then be, 30 raw -8 fire vs 25% affinity. which clearly states that 30 raw is a way to huge so Salamander is a no go.
Ice - Lagombi - Lagombi DB is the best because of its sharpness + socket. there might be better ice weapons out there, but definitely not with this combo.

A lot of the sets looks similar, only the gems , charms, and kirin jacket is different, these armor, are the Highest defense value, so its best survival as well, what do I mean by highest defense value? A lot of people can find 1000 different ways to make a skill set, some might have 200 defense, some might have 500 defense. These sets I've created, NOBODY CAN make the same sets with a higher defense than mine. the other ones will either be the same, or lower.

These are PERFECT Elemental Dual Blade Sets. (Before you import, make sure you import them in a box space which is empty. I myself saved them on box 5. Equip them all once and register them as sets, then you can sort them again if you want)

nice sets, here look at mine, i dunno if its perfect for you but i use it on blast db or other good raw db, tropic hunter is for battles at hot areas like against akantor teostra, etc

yet another reason why the quest completer/etc. should not exist. I'm no advocate for protecting people form their own lapses in judgement, but there are too many complaints already about this and there's only going to be more if it's not taken down. I admit, part of this is my annoyance due to the conflict between my natural urge to try to fix something and how unfixable this issue is right now - all stemming from the use of a tool that doesn't fully or effectively do what it was intended to do which itself stems from the lack of knowledge on specifically what's what in that memory region (and not programming ability).

I have yet to hear from anyone about the completer actually working flawlessly - with the exception of when they have to complete all quests normally anyway on top of using it, rendering the unlocker pointless.

Anyway, I have all my nondeviant, nonDLC quests completed and I'm currently blazing through the deviant quests. As soon as those are done, I'll work on finding the save identifiers. In fact, I already have a plan to do that, though we also need to test if the saves can even be transferred to another system first. If anyone else wont mind helping out, I can brief them on my intended method to find the offset (it's actually very simple) - as I'll likely need another system's save to verify 100% that there aren't two offsets: one for save and one for host system (not likely, but still possible).

Last idea in this rambling mess: Speaking of tools, would it be too hard to make a tool that can take a system file, pop the individual saves out (kinda like the palico exporter, but for the whole save slot), then let them be imported individually and inserted back (thus allowing individual saves to be imported into another set of saves or even just copied into another slot)? This need not be high priority, but I believe it should be relatively simple if ever gotten around to. It could also aid my above process for finding the save identifier offstet(s) if it works/happens before I get around to brute forcing for the value.

@iSharingan I had a back up so I just used that to resolve the issue... My guess is the game somehow prevents attempts to use third party programs regarding that matter, like with illegitimate palicoes and charms. As you said, best bet for now is to avoid the completed.

@APM Another useful addition you could make, since you have access to guild card with kills/capture, is to set the numbers for crown size (small/big) if possible, as I'm sure it would help most people who want the reward and save tons of time and effort

@APM *gasp* I just realized there is no Palico Equipment Box Export/Import ;~; Just super sorted all armors and weapons with the hopes of rearranging the pages they were on using your editor only to derp looking for the import/export box x_x

I had village 100%. and online hub everything but hr 7 complete, decided to use quest unlocker "should had read more on it beforehand"

I ended up lacking few awards, I managed to trigger them all, but for some reason I just can't get the Yukomo award, with "do all requests" i've done every single village request on high rank, and i just can't trigger it. i'm certain that i 100% did all the require village quest. so yeah, i believe the answer is bugged out

and sry i've no clue how to get the offsets for awards but im in desperately hoping that we somehow can find that out :I

The problem is most likely quest that are no longer going to show up for you due to the quest completer. The quest completer doesn't allow you to trigger additional flags for other quest also there are certain quest that wont show up unless you fulfill request from other villages; eg. Hayabusa Quest Line requires request from all villages.

@APM can you link me that GitHub page with the offsets again please? I want to export my Palico Equipment from one save to another.
