I enjoy pokémon games, but Moon took a lot out of me; there was just so much unskippable text and so much of it was redundant. I got half an hour into Ultra Sun before I could even control my character...

Just hoping that there's a patch out there that cuts out a lot of the bullshit redundancy and hand holding.

@jakerman999 I can understand where your coming from. If you can get past the fist hour you have some freedom after that. The game is not too bad once you get to the second island.

It is a bit tedious if you played the games last year to find Ultra Sun / Moon are essentially the same game with minor differences.

yeah the first island was boring and too long but with the instant text cheat it was bare able

Instant text cheat you say? Is that through NTR? That sounds like something worth looking into; thanks for the heads up!

If you don't like reading, why did you buy an RPG?
First of all, Pokémon isn't a single player RPG. It is at its core a multiplayer game series. The entire inspiration was caterpillars crawling on a game link cable. And I wish Game Freak would remember that before trying to tell a story.

Second, US/UM has the same damn story as S/M. We already went through helping Lillie with her mommy issues. And it was bad enough the first time.

So yes, I would very much appreciate some hacks to skip the story and get straight to the new pokémon and playing on the new servers since everyone else is going to. I want Naganandel on my team.

You are right, the first hour was one of the most boring things i have done in my life. This Endless dialogues are one the main reasons i stopped playing Pokemon Moon but this time i decided to give UM an opportunity and i really like it although the "a" button is not working anymore .

Looks like you won't be walking in to any Pokecenters  historically on all the older games you could just walk in to any building, on the GEN 7 games you have to use "a" a bit more to do that lol.

Not really, you can use an app to turn the "L" button into the "A" button if you need to.

No one is forcing you to play the game you know. If you're so adamantly against it, why are you even playing it? You can just find a completed save around here somewhere, inject it and create whatever you want. I'll never understand the "glorified DLC" argument when consumers buy freaking 1:1 remakes of the same crap over and over all day long. Pokemon has been doing this since day one. What are the differences between Yellow and Red/Blue? Some bug fixes and a special Pikachu, that's it. Same goes for Crystal (altered story centered around suicune; only changes/bug fixes), again same with Emerald (Oh, now you get a Ray Ray, yay!)...... I mean at least USUM added actual extra stuff to the game and didn't just focus on Necrozma and slap a new sticker on it while editing some text to say "Necrozma" instead of "Cosmog" etc....

Half of you act like this isn't standard in the media world. How many times has Spider-man been rebooted since 2003? How many PS1/PS2 games have seen "HD Edition" re-releases? That's a hell of a lot worse to me than at least adding a bunch of new features, and extended story etc.... Why not look at USUM as the "Extended edition" of SUMO? No one is forcing you to buy the same movie twice but a lot of people do enjoy those extra 20 mins of new footage.

USUM get's so much hate for no reason while everyone complaining about the same game wants a freaking 1:1 remake of Gen 4 in 3D....... You guys make no sense.

"I'm pissed they're selling me the same game twice with changes! I wanted a Gen 4 remake!!" Oxymoron much?
