I vaguely remember a game on the PS2 that I saw my cousin play once, and trying to remember what it was called. I'm interested in it now since I didn't have a PS2 back when I saw it.

From what I recall of it, it was a rhythm or music based game where your character flew around a mostly-wireframe world with lots of tippy colors. I think the title may have only been one word, but not sure.

Sounds a bit like Rez:

But I'm pretty sure that's not a musical game...so

Edit: It is Rez

yeah that sounds like rez to me, too. AFAIK it was for dreamcast, and it is kind of a music game.

I mean, its like a flying around and shoot stuff game, but theres this crazy beat that plays in the background and gets more and more intense as you progess through the level. Also, every time you shoot something it plays a note/sound that goes along with the music in the background.

Man that game was awesome.

Yup. That's the one! Thanks.

The review on Gamespot mentions something about the music changing and being modified depending on how you play or something.

Vib Ribbon, that's the name I was trying to remember with the rabbit in the wireframe world that changed shape to the music... come to think of it wasn't that a PS1 title?

I always wanted to play Rez.... =(
There is a Top10 list on ScrewAttack.com about that game, it is extremely funny, if you can find it watch it.
