Gaming Anyone else noticed that wii is...

Ok there's coming some games for hardcore nintendo fans like super mario galaxy or brawl, but still they do those same games on every nintendo console. Example:
nintendo 64: Super mario 64         
gamecube: Super mario sunshine
wii: Super mario galaxy

Ps3 will have series like, dmc4, mgs4, ffxiii, gt5 etc. I know that those are the same series what have been on ps2 and ps1, but atleast they're able to make them look nicer and make wider worlds and massive stories because of harddrives and something.

Absolutely. GT1, GT2, GT3, GT4, GT5 is much better than Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, Super Mario Galaxy! Because GT is not the same series all over again!

And while Sony improves the graphics, all Nintendo games look the same! Super Mario Galaxy is exactly the same game as Super Mario 64, just with a different name! It still looks like it was released 10 years ago! Now that I realize this, I will sell all my Nintendo consoles and buy a PS2 and PS3, so I can play GT1, GT2, GT3, GT4 and GT5.

PS3 is a bit of a waste though, sony killed itself with all the hype they built up for it...
all anyne has got to look forward to is MGS4 since thats the only confirmed exclusive, with all other titles going to be ported to x360

So did anyone else notice that wii is actually kind of lame? It's underpowered compared to xbox360/ps3. It has network service called wiiconnect24 what does nothing really. It should atleast have good online gaming experience, but no they have to use some fu*****  friendcodes. The only "update" (if you can call ut that) what is announced to be is that show your mii channel thingy or whatever it was. It's only useless if you ask me (like weather channel or news channel).

You're right about Nintendo doing the whole game-per-system thing which I really don't like and puts me off their consoles and yes other companies do this to, but there is just something particularly... unacceptable about Nintendo doing it in particular. I'd say most probably because I don't like their consoles so-called 'killer aps' and I'm getting sick of them appearing. How many Mario games have there been?

I've also heard a lot about their online service in no way comparing to that of Sony or Microsoft's. Nintendo need some new, more mature franchises to make an impact on the particular market of say myself and TaMs, who aren't biting at Nintendo's bait, yet I personally am a large gaming consumer. The Wii has it's good points yes, motion sensing is a nice feature. Saying it makes you feel like you are in the game more than graphics is self opinion with no evidence. The PS3 can offer motion sensing and great graphics so does that mean it is the best console for this and not the Wii? Fat people need to eat healthy and do proper exercise.

Personally I think the Wii graphics suck! I think the Channels suck! I think the Virtual Console games are a poor excuse to make money out of old games....

...but the Wiimote with the Nunchuck make up for everything herefore mentioned I think. It's the same as with the DS. The DS graphics also are not mind boggling..but it's the way you control the game that makes playing FUN FUN FUN!

I have to say that, being the kind of gamer I am, I couldn't be happy with it without my Wiikey, because I'm a real "Gamehopper"... I don't play a game for days until I finish it. I tend to play 10 games at a time.

So again it's simple as this: If you're only in it for graphics DON'T get a Wii, but if you're seeking for other fun ways to control games, you HAVE to get a Wii...

I didn't mean that wii should have some kickass graphics, it's just that the best looking games have been gamecube ports. And most of the wii games look like a psp games to me. I think wii should be able to do better than that.

Maybe it just needs some killer games to get things work. Let's hope that it will have some quality games after metroid prime, super mario galaxy, brawl and mario kart wii (those will be good, right?). Maybe nintendo will come up with something new after those? Maybe mario party 9 and 10? Just kidding.

In one year, you'll remember complaining as much as you complained during the DS's first year and a half, but then you stopped because Mario Kart arrived.

I'm entertaining casuals with big brain academy as we speak- they're having a blast, but as you can see, it's the kind of game old-school gamers quickly get tired of. I don't mind the ports - I cannot fathom playing Resident Evil 4 with a gamepad and am glad I skipped it last gen.

Meanwhile, PS3 and 360 are SLEEPING. Please for the love of god, give me something I can sink my teeth into! NOW!

Yeah i haven't really gotten any use out of my Wii so far because very few games interest me. I'm sure i'll start playing it when the big 3 games come out at the end of this year.
