Hacking Any usefullness for a DS-Xtreme?

You can use it as a christmas tree light. :tpi: Buy a few more, connect them together and wrap them around your piracy and homebrew-themed tree - perfect!

they are only 6 Bucks. not exactly going to break the bank.

$6 aint bad to own a piece of history. the "worst flashcart in human history"
Well yeah, but
1) Go to the bank
2) Get in queue
3) Put $10 on the rechargeable credit card
4) Go home and buy stuff
5) Wait ages for it to arrive
6) Pay customs free for it

Way too much hassle for a crappy flashcard :P

there is a large list of clones that are better described as the worst kit in human hustory. the ds-x was not a bad idea, it was just poorly maintained. if they had opensourced the firmware before closing shop it may still be used today.

heey catboy,
long time no see.

on-topic:
well, If I guess it right, the LED's are probably more worth than 6 bucks, at least it seems that way to me, and you get a free flashcart with it.

here is my ideas so far;

1. MP3 Player.
2. Flashcart Keychain.
3. Demo for a Transparent DS Lite Shell.
4. USB drive
5. de-solder the leds... why?, i havent got that far yet.
6. a slot cover when playing GBA games.
7. April fools joke. give it to some noob, than watch the look of disappointment.

also, i might take the label and put it on a Supercard DSTwo,
"hey, look my DS-X runs on 3DS! hehe"

A flash cart keychain might let other homebrew enthusiasts spot you in public.

Up to you whether that's a pro or a con...

I get enough stupid ROM questions on this site. I don't need any more invading my IRL space haha.
