Hardware Any Problems with Mario Kart?

I'm going to burn a copy of Mario Kart Wii, and I'd like to know if there is anything I should know. Does this do anything to the homebrew exploits? do I need to patch the iso before burning?

No, Mario Kart was released well before Nintendo came up with the zeldahack-disabling firmware 3.3. So it will not hurt homebrew in any way
if the iso is from your own region, you can just burn it without any modification.

No game will mess up your homebrew. Updates on the games could update your Wii to an undesirable firmware, but you can always just remove the update
