Prepare to be mind-blown:
i do believe i have figured the "checksum" value for the character:
i will try to explain this as best as i can, the program i used to do this with is called HxD.
for example, whoever was at block 974EC, this is the checksum value.
now in hxd, go to the checksum value address (0x974EC) and go +9bytes,
so now you are at 974F5.
goto edit-> select block -> and choose length = D77.
(just so you know you did it right, its +9 from the checksum value ----> the next checksum value.)
now Analysis -> Checksums -> checksum-16
so in case, my checksum value is C5 44 or 44C5
and the checksum i just did is 44C5. it matches? yes, it does!

ok, so this time, we are at location 0x9B86C, value = 4D0E
Range = (9B86C+9) 9B875 -- 9C5EB
Checksum16 value = 4D0E
Value 4D0E =? 4D0E
4D0E == 4D0E yes, its true, they ARE equal.
Damn, that does make sense. I was curious about why I changed class and that ID changed

that 01 at 974F5 is why your checksum is off by 1, i will need to edit my post above.

That's great but it has been figured out several weeks ago :D : (check SilentLuna few2-010-binary-templates on github, can't post links as a new account)

I checked each of them and they do not have info on a checksum or something wrong with their templates

the reason i said i "figured" it out was because i couldnt get that template to run at that time , i even made a post in the fire emblem three house discord:

so it wasnt that i didnt know about it, but its possible that my 010 program is out of date. but that still meant i didnt know what bytes were in the checksum, and so, only knowing that checksum is in play, (because the save file itself also will not load if it doesnt match), i was trying several things. it wasnt until i recalled my hacking fire emblem three house save files that i remember what i did and tried that.

The value is in decimal.
0x152b1 = 86705
Also to compute new checksum after edits: click on the "block data" field in the BT, compute the checksum (Tools->check sum then make sure that "checksum 8" is selected at the top and compute) and fix it.

I did giggles stuff and it somehow worked. Shez can have Enlightened One class and she wears the outfit too but the chibi avatar will be gone. I think she uses those moves too :unsure: (I didn't play it enough)

I wonder if there's a way to edit Achievements, to get them all easily - getting like 20k Partner Specials and maxing the levels of 50+ Combat Arts/Magic is quite tedious.
Sure, I do realise the intention was for this to be done over numerous playthroughs, but...er, no thanks. Too slow.
