Are there any good action RPGs? The only one I've really played is Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time.

Anybody have some suggestions? Thanks in advance.

You can try FF:CC Ring of Fates, Soma Bringer(plus Translation Patch), Phantasy Star 0, Avalon Code, Lunar Knights, and Kingdom Heats 358/2 Days.
There are more, but these are the best.

Happy gaming

There's Rings of Fate, which is similar to Echoes of Time, but it's not nearly as good.

There's Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, but it's pretty average. Incredibly repetitive and has the same downfalls the KH already has.

M&L: Bowser's Inside Story isn't exactly a hack and slash ARPG, but it keeps you in the action during the turns (using timing-based commands). It's also one of the best overall games for the system.

There's a few Tales games out there, but they're all in Japanese. There's a full translation of Tales of Innocence (right?) that's almost done, and should be released by my guesses around late this year.

Oh yeah, and there's Soma Bringer which is pretty good. Use the translation patch, though, since the game is like 99% translated.

Oh yeah I forgot about Phantasy Star 0. I have played that.

I think I'll try Soma Bringer so thanks for the suggestion.

You should also try The World Ends With You. It's super fun and addictive.
I second you on that one. imo it has the best battle system out of any ds arpgs. Also has a great story

PS0 FTW

I have been playing for a few days now and it's hard enough to make you go URGH but addictive enough to keep you motivated to upgrade that +23 gun of yours

Children of Mana, From The Abyss, Summon Night Twin Age, Element Hunters, Kaiju Busters, many others. Most of them suck hard.

I'm currently enjoy playing FF rings of fate, I'd recommend it and kingdom hearts aswel.

They're technically ARPG/platforming hybrids. You do combat in real time, hacking and slashing through monsters, while gaining levels and becoming more powerful as you progress. As for the games, I've played them and think they're fun, but I always seem to put it down eventually and never pick it up again.

You're welcome.
You should also try Dungeon Explorer: Warrior of Ancient Arts if you're into Diablo.

i thought everybody knew cocktails are like 75% ice
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Yeah but not like this.
  • Veho @ Veho:
It's not like they're complaining that their Slurpee is 99% ice or something, but if the cocktail calls for "shot of vodka, shot of vermouth, shot of gin, shot of Campari, three shots of juice, squirt of lemon" and ends up being a thimbleful of booze, that's a problem.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
the funny thing is cocktails in norway are only allowed to have 1 20ml shot of booze
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    so..... yeah
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
we're used to only having a thimbleful of booze

    Booo.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
same thing if you want whisky on the rocks or something, you can't get a double
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but you could buy as many shots of whisky (or anything else) as you want and ask for a glass of ice and pour them in
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
    it's dumb
  • Veho @ Veho:
    Maybe.
  • Veho @ Veho:
There was a comparison of the number of Ibuprofen poisonings before and after they limited the maximum dosage per box or per pill (i'll look that up). No limit on the number of boxes you can still buy as many as you want, so people argued it was pointless.
  • Veho @ Veho:
But the number of (accidental) poisonings dropped because drinking an entire package of ibuprofen pills went from "I need a new liver" to "I need a new box of Ibuprofen".
  • Veho @ Veho:
Here we have ketoprofen that used to be prescription-only because of the risk of toxic dosages, but then they halved the dose per pill and sell them in bottles of six pills apiece instead of twenty and it doesn't need a prescription any more. Yes you can buy more than one bottle but people simply don't.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Usually accidentally overdose of ibuprofen here is from people taking like cold medicine then ibuprofen for a headache and the combination is over what they need
