Any benefit to hack before update switch on 11.0.1?

I have an unpatched switch on slightly older firmware. I am planning on playing online hence needed to update. But apart from possible burnt fuses from updating first are there any benefits from hacking before updating? What is recommended to do first?

No, just do the official update now, and hacking will be just as easy afterward as it would have been without updating.
