Misc Annoying Wi-Fi Dongle

Is there anyway known to man or monkeys to stop the infernal Nintendo Wi-Fi Dongle from popping up saying "A user is connected to Wi-Fi Connection" because of's Wii's blasted Connect 24 that does absolutely nothing? If that thing doesn't stop popping up every 30 seconds, I'm going to take a hammer to the Wii. Let's see it connect then!
