From what it looks like the AC 3DS XL edition is an extremely limited run. I was gonna pick one up eventually, but I don't think it works like that. Seems like stock is extremely limited, if you have a retailer around you who even stocks it. I've heard like 2 or 3 at max at any given retailer. Major bummer Amazon doesn't stock it.

I never like collecting paintings in these games. There is no way to just get them quickly, since they rarely show up anywhere that isn't Redd's tent, and then half the time he's selling fakes anyways so you're back to square one.

There are painting guides online, (I only managed to get a real painting because of it, I don't know famous paintings)
No idea for statues though :/
