I take it this is why those gold nuggets are in such high demand? I dunno, seems a bit too in your face to me. But then I always went for silver, myself.

Yeah,i prefer silver too,but i used gold because its yellow/yellow for the feng-shui.
And the golden furniture is an antique set so i want it too.

I read about the rules of Feng Shui on a guide wiki. Seems to sap some of the fun out of it for me. Personally my stuff is placed by the one major rule of 'Will it look cool there?'. Feng Shui can sod right off. I'll do it once to earn the bonus but then immediately change things back.

I put it in another way.I try to make it looking good WITH the feng-shui.It makes the furniture placement look like a puzzle game.How to take advantage of the feng-shui,without making your house like it is his only means?But then,puzzle game is not in the taste of everyone,but since i love them,why not?

Out of curiosity, are these points cumulative or not? As in, to earn the gold post box or whatever, do I have to earn 1.2 million points in one go or just over the course of my HHA career?

You need to have 1.1 million point in one go.

That's only when u completed all of your mortgages. So u instantly become a VIP of HHA. Furthermore, the evaluation is about themes. And lemme tell u, it is quite harder than the first type of evaluations. U will NOT get points for any furniture that doesn't fit the theme. Furthermore, the exterior of your house is counted too. Needs to fit the theme u choose as well.
