I wonder if it's now possible to transfer my ideal island from my permanently Incognitoed Switch to my Mariko unit, hmm

because of two different consoles.... it is not possible to just restore island.

you can only import into your map files from your save.

also you can import your house.

you need to go in map editor and dump all parts.
also you can change villagers too.

Yeah, with jksv you can save and restore your island

I just tested and the transfer tool DOES indeed work between the incognito-Switch and a legit one Now hopefully there's no limit how often you can do the transfer

from my experience, I have multi consoles. I tried to restore my save on other switch and got problems.
but I did other way and I was able to duplicate my map.

So far I have managed to move my legit island from my Mariko unit to my hacked one, then used JKSV to back it up and then restored and successfully transfered my 'ideal' island to the Mariko unit.

There was some extra step of linking characters and profiles (or something like that) when you first booted the game but it seems to be working just fine.

Yes, AD3C7FD8 works if you only have one single player on your island.
But when you add a few more players, then start the game with different player, their inventories get swapped around...

I have 3 players on my island.

Launch the game with player 1 (representative):
AD3C7FD8 -> become player 2 inventory
AD4FBB50 -> become player 3 inventory
AD62F6C8 -> player 1 inventory

Launch the game with player 2:
AD3C7FD8 -> player 1 inventory
AD4FBB50 -> become player 3 inventory
AD62F6C8 -> player 2 inventory

Launch the game with player 3:
AD3C7FD8 -> player 1 inventory
AD4FBB50 -> player 2 inventory
AD62F6C8 -> player 3 inventory

Just to confirm - when you say "legit" switch, are you referring to a clean, unhacked switch? Does this mean we can transfer our island from an unhacked clean switch to a hacked (banned) unit, mod it there, and transfer it back to the clean switch without the fear of having the clean switch banned?
