ROM Hack Animal Crossing Map Editor

I was wondering, can anyone tell me how to use rein and the map editor to edit my animal crossing map?

you don't need rein, just open the .sav file in the editor and you are good to go.

EDIT: Make sure to put *.* so you can see all files (so you can open the .0 , .1 etc files) or rename the sav file to X.sav

whats a good save converter? all my saves are in .dat format i believe (the default M3 saves)
