...does anyone know if such a thing exist that allows you to "chain" multiple micro sd cards together. i know for psp you can get an adapter which converts 2 micro-sd cards into one ms pro duo card and the psp recognises it as one large card, it works really well....obviously, for ds flashcards, you can't physically fit more than one card as the slot is only for one micro sd (which is the smallest card anyways).....

but i was thinking maybe some sort of external mod using ribbon cables+ multiple micro sd card slots chained together? does anyone think this would be possible.....i'm tempted to buy a load of sd-microsd adapters and see what i can come up with lol

Nope. Nopenopenope.

Besides, the 3DS uses freakin' SD cards - it's not like they're hard to come by, for cheap, in large sizes. The market existed for the PSP because memory stick/duo cards are annoying to deal with.

I think that you're missing the point of why it was done for the pro duo's to begin with

1. it was a way to use industry standard memory cards in a proprietary format
micro sd's were smaller and therefore you could fit 2 industry accepted standard memory cards in the same footprint as sony's pro duo format

2. it was cost effective
the price for large pro duo's (at the time) was outrageous and 2 8GB micro sd's with the adapter were less than 1/2 the price of a single 16GB pro duo card

yeh, was just thinking it would be nice to have a whole collection of games all on one card, so if i plug this multi adapter into the acekard2i for example, it would have all the games on it.....ui'm right in thinking the games need to be stored on the sd slot within the flashcard right? or can you also use the 3ds' sd slot too (cos t-hen i could just use a 32gb card in each and store basiclaly every english game ever

There are plenty of 32GB Micro-SD cards on the market. And no, you cannot use the 3DS' SD slot for the Acekard.

But if you want to ruin some microSD cards for fun, go for it.
