Hi,
I've managed to make a complete mess of my O3DS. I was originally on FW 9.9(E) but downgraded to 9.2(E). had homebrew working and everything, and have a copy of my NAND at this point.

Since that I tried to install CFW which kept giving me error messages when booting in to it and restarting the 3ds, also wasn't able to use FBI or inject it into the Health and Safety app. After reading up online it sounded like something had gone wrong with the downgrade so thought I'd downgrade again to 9.0(E) then upgrade (system settings at this point did say I was on 9.2). During the downgrade I got the same error message saying something went wrong and system needs to reboot - now when I try to open either the system settings or use browserhax to launch Homebrew I get an error saying "An error has occurred, forcing the software to close. The system will now restart. (unsaved data may be lost.)" System settings gets as far as the Nintendo 3ds logo before this and browserhax gets to the grey screen (just after yellow) if it helps at all.

I've tried booting without the memory card in and am getting the same error when trying to open the system settings as well so seems to me like it's the 3ds instead of something on the memory card.

Is anyone able to offer any advice on how to get out of this mess?

edit:
I've managed to sort out the issue with system settings by using a game to update. For some reason it thought I was on fw 1.0 - I'm now able to get in to the system settings and can see I'm on FW 6.1.0-20E. Which is a start at least. When trying to get to the homebrew menu through browserhax it's still giving me the same error though. so still a bit stuck if anyone's got any ideas?

edit 2:
All sorted now. Seems like it screwed with whatever vulnerability the browserhax entry point uses. I managed to get in using the oothax exploit and getting the save on the cartridge using a datel powersaves cable. In case anyone else has the same problem there's a lot of save files for oothax people have posted around here and different forums but the only ones I had any luck with came from yellows8 on Github: https://github.com/yellows8/oot3dhax/releases
