I've had my 3DS for a couple of months now, and am using an AceKard2i with a 16gb microSDHC card. It's nice having hundreds of DS games all at once, but it SUCKS to not be able to buy any of the new 3DS games.

Does anyone know if there is sure to be a kernel update after the December 8th firmware update? Debating on just breaking down and buying a SuperCardTWO, or even a R4i Gold.

Acekard has stated that they've been working on a new FW update... though it's been a few weeks already. If I were them, I'd just wait until AFTER the Dec. 8 3DS update to work on a new FW for the Acekard.

i found this on gbatemp:
Hi,

First of all, thank you very much for your attention and favor to Acekard.

Don't worry. We are working on the new udpate for AK2i on 3DS 2.2.0-4. It's almost finished.
Nintendo has not release this update online,so we'd like to release the update patch once Nintendo release it to public.
It should not be too long,so please be patient.
However,we won't release this udpate later than Dec 10th.

Kind regards

im in the same boat as the poster , just releaseing 1.8.9 and it not containing any fix was just a wind up .. a new card is very close for me.

AKAIO =/= Bootloader
And why should they add features ? AKAIO is a very great firmware I think.

Great firmware, asshole creator. I guess it's true that the more you hate the programmer the better he is...

It is the internet, people have a sense of self entitlement to everything. I could invent a program to solve world hunger and give it away free and people would still complain that I was lazy and didn't cure cancer as well.

I rather enjoy a life of taking it easy. I haven't reached that life yet though.

@SylverReZ, atleast wiimmfii went fine although people only use it for Mario kart Wii
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
At least if they ban you for cheating, get another Wii. They're cheap as chips.

Remember when RiiShop was a thing?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    not really
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Brb
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
