All of a sudden my N64 won't turn on

As it says, all of a sudden my N64 just won't turn on. IO wa sjust using it earlier and no the light won't come on.

In the back of my mind I can't help but feel I removed the cart I wa splaying earlier while it was still on? Would that have killed the power

Same thing happened to me. One of the saddest days in my life.

Take your power switch and wiggle it back and forth a little, putting a little extra force against it towards the back of the console when it's in the ON position. Anything?

I have to do that for my Sega Genesis and my N64 to get them to turn on.

There is a thermal fuse inside the power supply, removing the game while on may have triggered it....

So, remove the power supply for about 30 minutes, let it cool down, then try again.

In the case of "N64 Light won't turn on" is it usually the power supply

Let it cool over night, no luck....
