And I tried visiting the help desk in Nintendo Badge Arcade, and when I booted up the badges from the main menu, it just said an error occurred. And when I tried to boot them again, I'm back to having no badges.
Badges are associated with your NNID, and TinyFormat unlinks your NNID from your console without removing your stuff. But when you went into Badge Arcade just now, the servers told your console that it no longer owns those badges and to remove them. If you sign back into the NNID that you had before using TinyFormat and then visit the eShop or Badge Arcade then they'll probably come back.I think I did use tinyformat at least once... but it didn't start doing the until recently!

Ok, how do I sign out of my NNID? So I can sign back in? @QuantumcatBadges are associated with your NNID, and TinyFormat unlinks your NNID from your console without removing your stuff. Go to System Settings, then NNID Settings (button on top of touchscreen). You can sign in there. After signing in, if the badges don't appear right away then try going into the eShop, then exit.Ok, how do I sign out of my NNID? So I can sign back in? @Quantumcat

Yeah I think you have to have Badge Arcade installed.Did both, neither worked. Was I supposed to re-download NBA?
Re-downloading both NBA and the update... what do I do when both are finished?Yeah I think you have to have Badge Arcade installed.
Open it and sign in?Re-downloading both NBA and the update... what do I do when both are finished?
Same message as last time, after loading badges... "An error has occurred. Please save your data in any software currently in use, and then restart the system."Open it and sign in?
I hadn't used it for ages, and my badges disappeared when doing system transfers, so I thought just now I would try again and get them - I open Badge Arcade and see I have error 022-2803
I only ever did the "safe" method of cheating, but I guess it caught up to me eventually haha.
Edit: and my badges didn't come back after I exited. Oh well no badges for me. Hope it goes better for you Nanashi!
Hmm, weird. I'm not sure sorry. If you can find out what folder in your SD card stores the badges, you could try deleting it then do this again. I have a feeling the fake badges won't work for you either, but give it a go.Same message as last time, after loading badges... "An error has occurred. Now, what?
Where in my microSD would I look for said folder?Hmm, weird. I'm not sure sorry. If you can find out what folder in your SD card stores the badges, you could try deleting it then do this again. I have a feeling the fake badges won't work for you either, but give it a go.
It will be in the Nintendo 3DS folder, but I don't personally know where. You could start by trying the one in the guide - this is themes and layouts for the home menu, so might include badges also. If it isn't that one then I don't know, you might have to do some research (or try the fake badges and see if they work).Where in my microSD would I look for said folder?
"This feature cannot be used, because you don't have any badges yet."Have you tried going to the option where you can decorate the Home Menu with badges to see if any badges are there? (not sure if this will do anything but it's worth a shot)
Can you link me to said guide? It will be in the Nintendo 3DS folder, but I don't personally know where. How did you end up fixing it (for others that may look at this thread on the future)?Well, I was able to salvage my badges, and switch from the CIA version of GYTB to the 3DSX version... and I was actually able to upload the badges.
Thank you, @Quantumcat & @KunoichiZ! I have one more question, BTW... I know you can't upload more than 1k badges at once, but can you upload over 1k in more than one sitting?
I gave up on NBA, but here's my "alternative solution."How did you end up fixing it (for others that may look at this thread on the future)?
