It is smart. The point was to let people know that the aK team they worship is in my opinion a crappy team. So are you saying I can't say something that other members wont like? If that's the case then this website is ridiculous.

No, it's not smart. Basically saying "I'm a troll!" makes your entire point null and pretty much shrouds everything else you post with "Oh, he's just acting like a dick to rile feathers".

Also, yes, this website is ridiculous, I suggest you leave now since we're all very ignorant and blind. Get out while you still can!

In the end, I paid $20 for a AK2i and pirated hundreds of dollars worth of games. To say I'm "satisfied" is an understatement. Hell, you buy a flashcart and pirate 5 games and it'll have paid for itself. The AKAIO team has done well enough, especially for being an independent team and not the official Acekard firmware. Maybe it's not as speedy as everything else but I have a magical property called "patience". It allows me to realize that in the end I'm paying a whole lot of nothing for the firmware and games I'll pirate for it and having to wait a few days, weeks, or months is acceptable.

The acekard team is basically null and void now, they manufacturer the hardware but Akaio supply the firmware, either way without one there wouldnt be the other in my opinion, acekards firmware kinda sucked thats why normmatt took up the slack.

Either way acekard is the best budget card you can get, and i've never once regretted my purchase.

There's quite some new features aside game fixes, so I don't see a problem with updating.

Don't you wish people like this would vacate themselves from what is in all other reasons a friendly forum, it just annoys me to see others criticize peoples work when they couldn't even come close to accomplishing something on an equal level. Ok so people are entitled to their own opinions but why belittle what the scene does (for free i might add) to keep us the general consumer happy.

I will ofcourse admit my ignorance in the matter if you can show me what you have contributed to the scene, if you cant then please keep quiet and at least show a little respect in what others do to keep us happy and content

aK team supplies the updates to the boot loader, dip sh*t. I'm not even going to spend time tearing you a new one. Use the browser you mentioned to see that you have been owned. Normatt makes the aK firmware LOL

I may not be as knowledgable on the scene as you but thats no reason to talk to people like that, as far as I'm aware Normmatt and the AKAIO crew are responsable for all AKAIO updates (including the bootloader), ya know being a beta tester and all for them, that was my understanding

Man, you can't be serious. AKAIO has all my respect, period. But the aK team I have paid my dues to. I gave them my money. They don't owe me crap BUT I have the right to say what I think of their Team, you know?! I am a nice person but I can be ferocious when I know I have a point that others are trying to shut down out of nothing more than what I refer to as "fanboy-ism."

It will if and when the Acekard team release a bootloader update. As stated around four times in this thread already this has nothing to do with AKAIO or the AKAIO team.

AK team are probably just waiting for the big update. It's only 3/4 days away. Not long to go people.

Yeah it's "limited". In that they have to exploit a ROM to be able to use it (kinda like save game exploits on the Wii or whatever, the difference being they integrate the exploit and the code that is run all into the ROM as well). So it is only possible on ROMs that are exploitable. But in the hundreds of ROMs there are, many of the cheaply made, small name ones are probably exploitable. They avoid the "big name" games like Mario and Pokemon, probably to avoid lawsuits, but also probably at least partly because they are likely harder to exploit.

For any particular game to be used, it has to be exploited on an individual basis - eventually perhaps once Nintendo stop releasing updates, people could possibly make these exploits public and then there could be a large list of usable exploits, but it's quite unlikely that will ever happen, because once Nintendo stop blocking exploited ROMs (i.e. once DSi/3DS is dead), people will stop exploiting them and each card will be left with the last "official" update it had. Plus AFAIK no flashcard company has released details of how to build a custom bootloader for their card, which would also be necessary for what I suggested above to happen.

If you're not satisfied, go pick up another flashcart. A savvy DS user intent on piracy should always have at least two carts -- their favourite, and one as a backup for when things get slow.

The great thing about free enterprise and an open economy is that you get your say with your DOLLARS. If you're not happy with a service, you don't have to give them any more dollars. Yay competition.

i too would like a loader update that allows me to update my 3ds fw and still be able to use my acekard2i.
I want to buy mario kart 7....but worried incase need to update my 3ds to play it. in which case.. i will have to wait for a loader update before buying the game as i dont wanna lose the use of my acekard
