Hacking AKAIO+r4ultra

is there a way to update akaio to work with r4ultra or will i have to wait till they post an updated version on their website (www.r4ultra.com)?

im just not sure if it's as simple as extracting and overwriting the previous files on sd card

Regular AKAIO won't work on the R4Ultra so you'll have to wait. You may be waiting a long time though.

Does AKAIO work on the R4 Ultra?
A single 1-off build of AKAIO v1.8.1 was compiled by Normmatt for the R4 Ultra by request of Team Acekard (the developers of the R4 Ultra). This is currently the only build adapted to work on the R4 Ultra, future releases will not work without much manipulation by Normmatt. Support for the R4 Ultra has not been added into AKAIO and is not planned for the future.

akaio for r4 ultra was a one time thing, don't look like you'll get a new akaio update...but hey, here's a chance you to go and buy a real flash cart.
