Hacking AKAIO 1.5 Released

Will copy-pasting txtview.ak4 of 1.4.1 to the plugins folder of 1.5 be effective?

I really want to join the bandwagon, this is the only thing holding me back. Thanks

Who's complaining that the plugins system was "outdated" anyway? Does it make akAIO "bloated" or something?

C'mon.

If the fact you can't view a TXT file is keeping you from using 1.5.. then you have serious problems and a fucked up priority system.

And to the guy bitching about the new font... oh well. Sorry. A full-width ampersand is not gonna change it back. We like the new font; it saves memory and also allows a "1 font for all languages" solution, vs the hacks we were using before to display unicode names in an English GUI.

i have an question. do i need to use the firmware patch for updating die DSi to 1.4 or was this patch only for the AK firmware 1.4.1?? will my AK2i brick if i update my DSi to Firmware 1.4 (with AK firmware 1.5) ??

I'm Having a cheat Problem with AKAIO 1.5.
I know you guys gona say, go back and read or search up on Google.
I did that, all the solution I found was hold X or A when loading the games with the cheat, but that didn't work.
Oh, and I know it is not my SD card problem and does not need reformatting because when I switch to and older version of AKAIO, the cheats work, no problem there.

So do anyone know a solution for cheats to work with AKAIO 1.5 ?

If you used the 1.4 update file, you don't need to run it again because the OS in this case A.K.A.I.O is not related to the boot loader of the acekard itself, i'm using A.K.A.I.O 1.5 with DSi fw 1.4U no problems at all.

Yes I did. I have like 88 games with cheats enabled, so far so good.

I even tried using another Acekard (I have 2 AceKard2i, for backup reasons) update it so that it can be used on a DSi 1.4x firmware and then put in AKAIO 1.5 firmware with it. Next I tested several games with action replay codes (Cheat.dat and usercheat.dat) just incase. I activated it and when I'm in the game, the game acts like no cheat codes is on.

It's definetly the lastest Akaio firmware problem.
Anyone got a work around?

Did you press the "select" button after selecting your codes?

Yup, click it, then click the game, it loaded and when it reach the game, none of the cheats was there. =[

Try my A.K.A.I.O 1.5 folder, it has everything preloaded including my cheats, you can edit the files as you like. Tell me if my folder worked with your AK2i.

Hey, some of us want to complete games 100% the non-cheating way w/o totally memorizing the minute details/secrets. You have to admit txtview WAS the closest thing to "ingame guide" that akAIO had.

So... don't lump us in with the "&" guy, lol

add: if someone posted the closest alt to txtview already... (moonshell takes too long to "parse" and dsorganize corrupted my msd card, anything else?)

textview plugin is a .nds file.
rename it to .nds from .ak4... and uhh
i dunno.

bliss never released the source to it... but you can load it up again and at least admire it.

You know, I DID get the feeling that some (all?) of akAIO's previous plugins had a touchy history in relation to akAIO.

I didn't really want to cause this big a stink (it's big enough for me) and seem like an ungrateful ass.

And I do understand the need for akAIO to focus on compatibility, stability and all-around awesomeness..

So, stay awesome akAIO team!
