The GBA support for the AIO is unfortunately just for the EZFlash 3-in-1. Not for our eWin 2in1. Just use the GBA Loader.

I cannot get GBA games to work via my eWin 2in1 on this release, it loads the games as normal, displays the gameboy logo, then freezes. The latest official firmware works a treat. Any ideas?

G.

If you give Smiths a 2-in-1 he'll probably program support for it!

That's too bad.

IOwnAndPwnU: please stop posting every time a reply is made. like i mentioned, it's enough bloating the thread.
yes i realize the irony of this statement.

drunk beta. per rom rumble fixed, daigasso on RPG working (thank norm) but only with ROM on microSD card.

so yeah, stop bloating threads to increase post count.

Norm: I think the eWin is just for opera?

Cheers

on the drunken beta!
I just got it loaded(so to speak) on RPG and the BBDX save is working set at 64M.

gelu, Smiths, Normmatt, you guys are doing an amazing job, Thank you much!

(I can't test the rumble as my 3in1 crapped out)

I agree with the drunken master that a lot of IOwnAndPwnU's posts are useless.

Everything is working perfectly: DBBDX saves (Unknown/Auto and 64M), per ROM rumble works, dots blink, GBA games run...
Thank you all! I wasn't expecting an update so fast (I mean, 1 day after the update of gelu's firmware).

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to manually patch the Opera Browser every time but I don't have to with the AIO.

Not all of my posts are useless.

regarding eWin support:
turns out the gelu loader didn't have eWin support and basically part of the updates was just porting his code in. In porting the code, at some point the eWin functions were removed.
I went back into some AKBBS sources from the AKRPG releases and am putting the eWin stuff back in... so hopefully that will work.

And IOwnAndPwnU, if you reply to this post the release will never see the light of day.

Fantastic, looking forward to that, it is the only thing in the firmware that is missing for me at the moment!

Thanks, Smiths! Those of us with a 2-in-1 will be very appreciative!

Say...when do you plan on getting drunk again (a beta with working eWin support would be cool)?

If only making the project partially open source would bring some new developers, then I'd be very encouraged to do it. But as it stands the AK2 and AK+ sources will have to remain closed source. The rest 'could' be made open source but it'd just be a hassle. If someone wants too join the team and has {past tense} put some awesome features into the older AKBBS sources I'm sure we could work something out.
The way you worded that bolded bit, I assume you are only referring to "AKBBS is a menu collaboration by bliss, Normmatt, Smiths, Moogle, gelu, and kzat3", then?

I for one would happily add in EZ4 (at least deluxe at any rate, for opera/gba - while keeping the 3in1 stuff in line) support if I had the ability to compile and test revisions - but I'm definitely not interested in purchasing a AK RPG to do so. If the AK2 'detection' is considered sensitive, I'd think that'd rule me out then. If there is a version of BBS that reflects current 3in1 detection/patching and whatnot, that I can actually run on ak2 (even if I have to extract the patch core myself) - just LMK and I'll see what I can see...

for something like just GBA Loading, you could probably take the AKBBS sources and make sure it just points to the SD card and doesn't fatinit the NAND to get the menu loading on an AK2. The gbaloader.cpp, gbapatcher.cpp are *basically* what is offered (hell, besides the now-added eWin ability, those two files are clones of gelu's menu). So long as the mainwnd.cpp -> execute() command does the ".GBA || .gba" file routine, you can probably get that working on an AK2.

The RPG specific/AK2 specific things mainly seem to rely on the arm9/arm7 loaders, which handle things like ROM loading and whatnot more than anything. Norm definitely can chime in better than I, but I believe for simple "getting to the menu and choosing the SD card and selecting a GBA file" you can modify the AK RPG sources for basic AK2 usage.
